(Q) What types of sites are there out there?

Quite a few, including:

Brochure web sites: This style of web site provides your customers with product information, company description, contact information, opening times, etc.

Database web sites: A comprehensive web site, listing a full set of automated features for storing or sharing information. Often includes multiple images, contact details, feedback form, etc.

Content Management System (CMS) web sites: A CMS web site allows for easy development of dynamic community websites, corporate portals, and much more. It allows people with no knowledge of computer programming to maintain and update a web site.

E-commerce web sites: An e-commerce web site allows you to sell your products or services online - day and night. The site can vary from quite simple, selling just a few products or one service to a site selling hundreds of products or many services.

Forum web sites: Dedicated online forums, bulletin boards, or bloggs, that allow you and your customers or the public to exchange information 24 hours a day.

(Q) How much do you charge for your website design services?

It depends on what you want! A dynamic website design or a design where a lot of advanced programming has been used will cost you more than a simple html website.

(Q) Do I need to use a website design company that is local to me?

No you don't! Everything can be done over the internet or the telephone. We design websites for companies worldwide and rarely meet our clients, some of whom have been clients of ours for years.

(Q) Why should I use your website design services and not another company, and have you got a proven track record?

We provide a one to one personal service and are friendly and accommodating. We are always available by email to answer your questions. Our website designs do not compromise on quality and we take on one project at a time only. We are experienced in design codes from the basic html and dhtml to platforms such as asp (Windows) and php (Linux). We are up to date with new and emerging platforms such as ASPNet2 and graphics interfaces such as Flash.

(Q) Are you based on the island and use local developers?

We use both our network of international consultant web developers to secure quality outputs. Our aim is to be a fully operational and locally staffed St Helenian company by the time St Helena has its international airport.

(Q) Are there any hidden charges for your website design or optimisation services?

No! Once we have all the information about your requirements you will be given a price and that price will stand firm for both the website design and the optimisation, if required. The only time a given price would change is if you want another page or any other material added before completion of the website.

(Q) Can I see the design while my website is under development?

Yes! Once the design for the main page has been completed it will be uploaded to our server for your approval. After approval the rest of website will be developed.

(Q) Can I make changes to the website design or text content once it has been started?

Yes! The main page will be uploaded for your approval. If you want changes made to the design we can do it then.

(Q) How long will the design of my website take?

It depends. If you are just having a website designed and developed, about two to four weeks. If you are having optimisation carried out as well, around three to six weeks. A lot depends on what your requirements are. We like to tell everyone a month, that way we don't make promises we can't keep.

(Q) What screen resolution will you design my website for?

Whatever screen resolution you would like. Most people have their screen resolutions set at 800x600 so that's the resolution we would usually design a website for.

(Q) I would like to use your website design service, what do I do now?
